Urban NeighbourhoodHere's a really super quick bed quilt pattern Urban Neighbourhood, designed by Konda Luckau and shown in ideal cool colours with a hint of warmth. Our free pattern download (courtesy of McCall's Quilting) is for the same quilt, but substitutes warm autumn colors of burgundy, tan and gold surrounding assorted pink, lime, green, teal, yellow and blue solid block centers. This modern looking quilt can easily be adapted to your own fabric choices. You might choose to use a charm pack from a single fabric collection for the block centres, adding coordinating solids for the subsequent block patches, strips, sashing and borders. What fabric choices would YOU make for this quilt? You’ll want to be sure you’re sewing with an accurate 1/4″ seam allowance so the patches and blocks fit together well. The free bed quilt pattern finishes at 78½˝ x 93½˝. Have you missed any of our previous Friday Freebies? Thanks for stopping by…and enjoy! Have a great weekend.

From time to time, I get to list our Oddment fabrics and end of range products at extra low prices. I know how you all love a bargain or two! I often get caught surfing Ebay for the odd collectors item of embroidery or that bit of gorgeous fabric that someone else has listed. It does help to go and see what other companies are selling too, as I realise too often that they are competitors doing the same as Country House Crafts by making a living. This month I've listed Children's Cross Stitch Kits and Special Occasion Cross Stitch Kits (with FREE Post and Packing!) in amongst some lovely fabric bundles that are on Special Offer. So go take a peek and get yourself a bargain! Happy Friday, Jane. Hoping your weekend is as warm as it is here in Scotland. Have a great weekend folks. x This weeks featured design is the Felted Bird mobile pattern and is downloadable free. The birds measure 12 x 7cm (5 x 3”) each and are cut from knit, felted squares of wool. Just to keep my customers up to date. Microsoft are changing how our current website is run, so hence the reason for me planning ahead by migrating to Weebly.com for hosting. It is been easy so far and not quite finished as I have more organising and planning for it to work. On my list for today is signing up to MailChimp to work with our customer subscriptions, now ticked off and done. I don't really mind, to be honest I'm relishing the challenge with all this technology. So far its working out. Yeah! And this evening, the happy dance as I've a regular customer who buys from us on Ebay looking to buy here on the website and it has made my day. ;O) Thanks Felicity! I hope she doesn't mind the name drop... Better get back to it, late night tonight. Cheery Xo |
